TWEED Tour - Opening Event! (1st Leg)

Calhoun 'Silver Fox' Melville is back, from a long spell outside the winner's circle, and it seems as if he has plans to be there for a good while.

The PPJA was excited to roll out the red carpet for our pool players in Ocho Rios on Saturday, November 3, 2018. The excitement was high and the anticipation was thick! This pool tour would be the series of events to end the 2018 pool year with a bang!

The 1st stop on the TWEED Tour, at Club Q's on Main Street in Ocho Rios (the PPJA Headquarters) most definitely got big support from pool players all around the island. Although Melville struggled through the preliminary rounds, he still managed to defeat Handel 'Teacher' Taylor (of St Mary) 3-1, in the finals, earning himself the title - Winner of Tweed Tour Stop #1.

The players all had high expectations of this first stop in the 4-event series; they were certainly not disappointed by what they saw in Ochi, and they were looking forward to our next stop at Mystics Sports Bar in Mandeville, Manchester.
