"Dem ago tired fi see mi face!" was the message Goran 'G-Unit' Faulkner was sending, as he climbed up the ranks. The 2nd stop on the TWEED Tour saw the PPJA Team in Mandeville, at the Mystics Sports Bar.
Surprisingly, the chart was divided between the Mandeville players and the Kingston-based players, even though it was a random draw. While it seemed that a Mandeville player would reach the finals, Goran 'G-Unit' Faulkner of May Pen Clarendon spoiled that plan, defeating two Mandeville favourites in some nail-biting action play - Orane 'Spadezz' Rhoden 2-1 and Leroy 'Lee' Jones 2-1, who finished in 3rd place. Kingston favourites Jordan Holman and Calhoun Melville were defeated by Vinroy Logan (of Linstead) and Orlando 'Rdaical' Brooks respectively.
Faulkner quickly defeated the birthday boy Shawn Colley (of Kingston) in the finals 3-0, to safely secure the win. Shawn Colley a veteran in the pool biz came out gun blazing to try and stop the young guns but was denied that chance.
Mystics was jam-packed, as the players came out to support yet another PPJA event, in cool cool Mandeville; they all had fun and every bit of it was enjoyed. Based on what we saw, they all will be heading to Negril, for the third stop on the TWEED Tour.
